Do you take reservations?
Yes! Reservations open 30 days in advance. Please click here to make a reservation and follow the prompts.
If a requested time slot is not available, please take an earlier or later slot that is available.
Our maximum table size is 12 guests. For larger parties making two reservations for the same group, we will do our best to seat the parties near each other; however, we cannot guarantee this during peak busy times. Our best suggestion for large parties with multiple tables is to arrive when the restaurant opens.
In the event you need to cancel or modify a reservation, simply go to your email confirmation and/or text confirmation from Yelp or click the Yelp App on your smartphone and click "Edit this Reservation" or "Cancel this Reservation."
Do you accept walk-in parties?
While the majority of our dining room is held for reservations, we welcome walk-in guests at anytime and our hostesses will quote a wait time when you arrive.
What is the dress code?
Proper attire is required while dining at the Taste of Texas as a courtesy to fellow diners. We suggest business casual.
All attire must be neat in appearance and not disruptive to our atmosphere. We do not allow cut-off shorts, bare feet, or clothing with offensive language or graphics. Gentleman, no sleeveless shirts. Attire must be appropriately modest for a fine-dining experience. Management reserves the final decision on admittance into our restaurant.
What type of beef do you serve?
We proudly serve only perfectly aged Certified Angus Beef®, the finest and most consistent quality of beef on the market. Certified Angus Beef® is the upper third of USDA Choice and Prime, and has exceptional marbling -- the white flecks of fat in the beef which melt into the steaks when cooked. Certified Angus Beef® is sourced from family ranches with heritage Angus cattle and is incredibly flavorful, tender, and juicy because of the high amounts of marbling in each cut. Our beef also meets ten scientific standards for heredity, age, tenderness, size, and quality that is not required of generic USDA Prime. We then wet age the beef for 40+ days to ensure exceptional tenderness and flavor and hand cut our steaks to exacting trim specifications. The result is the perfect steak -- tender, flavorful, and ready for the grill.
